Volunteer in India with Children for ‘Goal of Life: Soccer with a Cause’

Goal of Life is the most eagerly awaited annual event and an effort to bring a better life to the children who live on Delhi's streets. Initiated in 2002, soccer was seen as a medium to enable underprivileged children living in urban slums all over Delhi to come and play together. This combines the development of their talent with a sense of unity, purpose and positive harmony in relationships. Volunteering with this project is a great opportunity to be a part of a worthy endeavour to bring dreams to reality for street children.  

Project Location: Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School (Humayun Rd)

City / Village: Delhi

Project Duration: Ongoing

Project start date: One to six months.

Language Preference: English and Hindi.

Experience required (If any): Previous experience of working on children focused projects.

Attributes/Qualities Required: 

         Patience in working with children having different behaviours and attitudes and the ability to be sensitive to their problems

         Be responsive to situations while working in teams or individually.

         Advocating the cause of the children in the right perspective.

         Understand the recreational needs of the children and inculcating them in the best of practices.

Period of volunteering opportunity: Minimum one month
